SOIRAS

SOIRAS Terms of Use and Sale

Effective from 23 November 2026. Version 1.0.

1. Who we are

1.1. The website soiras.com, the app app.soiras.com and the SOIRAS conversation cards are sold and provided by SIA "Herkules PSI" ("we" or "SOIRAS"):

  • registered in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia, registration No. 40203526210;
  • registered address: Brīvības iela 92/94–1, Riga, LV-1001, Latvia;
  • email: info@soiras.com;
  • phone and WhatsApp: +371 29440222 — as we are often outside Latvia, we reply fastest to WhatsApp messages and email; we return calls as soon as we can.

SIA "Herkules PSI" is not registered for VAT.

1.2. SOIRAS™ is a trade mark of SIA "Herkules PSI" (EU trade mark application No. 019441487).

1.3. SIA "Herkules PSI" is responsible for the purchase, its performance and delivery, customer service and the resolution of disputes. The payment institution (6.3) and its partners only process the payment — for any questions about your purchase, write to us at info@soiras.com.

2. Scope of these terms

2.1. These terms apply to every purchase on soiras.com and to the use of the app. By making a purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to them. The terms are available in Latvian, English and Russian; all language versions have the same content.

2.2. Each purchase is governed by the version of the terms in force at the time of purchase. You can save or print the terms; we also attach that version to the purchase confirmation email.

2.3. We sell to buyers who live or operate in the European Union. Consumer rights (for example, in section 11) apply to consumers — individuals buying for personal purposes. Psychologists, therapists and other professionals may buy for their work (see 8.4).

2.4. Definitions:

  • digital pack — access to specific SOIRAS card decks in the app;
  • access code — a unique code that unlocks digital packs in the app;
  • box — a set of printed cards that you put together yourself and pre-order;
  • adults-only decks — the Eros Deck and the Dionysus Deck (also included in the Full System and in the upgrade to the Full System), both digital and printed.

3. Products

3.1. SOIRAS are projective conversation cards for adults about relationships, intimacy and sexuality. They were developed by a doctor of psychology and psychotherapy specialist; the artwork consists of original works by Terēze Strautmane. They contain only text questions and art images — no nudity, video or live chat.

3.2. We offer:

  • digital packs — the Starter Pack (the Delphi, Hestia and Ariadne Decks), individual decks (the Aristophanes, Eros and Dionysus Decks), the Full System (all 6 decks) and an upgrade from the Starter Pack to the Full System;
  • gift purchases — any digital pack can be bought as a gift (see 9);
  • a box of printed cards — a pre-order (see 10); when it becomes available to order, we will announce it in our newsletter and by email to everyone who has signed up for news.

The current contents and prices are shown on the website next to each product.

3.3. The app runs in a browser (and on a phone, like an app). To use it, you need a device with an up-to-date browser; an internet connection is needed to activate the code and to open the app for the first time. After that, the app can also be used offline. When the device is online, the app checks that the code is still valid; if the device has not been online for more than 30 days, the app will ask you to connect it to the internet briefly.

4. Age and adult responsibility

4.1. SOIRAS products may only be bought by adults (aged 18 or over).

4.2. Adults-only decks (the Eros and Dionysus Decks) are intended for adults only. By buying adults-only decks and opening them in the app, you confirm that you are an adult. If you buy them as a gift, you confirm that the recipient is also an adult.

4.3. Adult responsibility. The owner of the cards and the access code is responsible for making sure that adults-only decks — both printed and in the app — are accessible to adults only. This means: keeping the box and decks out of children's reach, not giving the access code or a device with adults-only decks open to minors, and not playing adults-only decks in their presence. We cannot check who uses the cards after purchase.

4.4. If we learn that adults-only decks are being used by a minor, we may block the access code concerned (8.3); in that case the amount paid is not refunded. If a minor made the purchase themselves without the consent of a parent or guardian, such a transaction is not valid under sections 1405 and 1408 of the Latvian Civil Law — in that case, at the request of the parent or guardian, we cancel access and refund the amount paid.

5. How purchasing works

5.1. You choose a product, enter your email address (for a box — also your name, phone number and Omniva parcel locker; for a gift — the recipient's details), tick the required boxes and pay.

5.2. Before payment, you see a summary: the products, the total price, the delivery fee (for a box) and the delivery time. You can correct any errors until you press the payment button.

5.3. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. At that moment we send to your email a purchase confirmation with the order details, these terms and — for digital packs — the access code.

5.4. If the confirmation has not arrived within 15 minutes, check your spam folder and write to info@soiras.com.

6. Prices and payment

6.1. Prices are in euros and are final — they include all taxes. The delivery fee for a box is separate and is shown before payment.

6.2. The price that applies is the one shown at the time of purchase. If a price is marked as valid until a certain date, after that date the price then shown on the website applies.

6.3. Payments are processed by the payment institution Paysera (Paysera LT, UAB, Lithuania). You are charged at the moment of purchase, when you confirm the payment. When you pay by card, your bank may ask you to confirm the payment with strong customer authentication (for example, 3-D Secure). We do not see or store your card or online banking login details. The available payment methods (bank payment, card, etc.) are shown on the payment page. If your currency is not the euro, the conversion is carried out by your bank or the payment institution.

6.4. Upgrade to the Full System: if you already have the Starter Pack, you can buy the other decks included in the Full System at the time of purchase as an upgrade — for the difference between the price of the Full System and the price of the Starter Pack. When buying the upgrade, enter your Starter Pack access code; we check that the code is valid, has not been blocked and has not already been used for an upgrade. If you have lost your Starter Pack code, you can get it again (7.4). The upgrade has its own access code.

7. Delivery of digital packs and the access code

7.1. We send the access code to your email at the moment the payment is confirmed. Enter the code in the app (or open the link/QR code in the email), and the decks you have bought will open.

7.2. Each purchase has its own access code: each deck has its own, and each pack (the Starter Pack, the Full System, the upgrade to the Full System) has its own. Each code works on no more than 2 devices. If you change device: if one of the 2 places is free, simply activate the code on the new device. Before selling or giving away your old device, choose "Free up this device" in the app settings. If a device has not checked the code online for more than 30 days (3.3), its place is freed automatically for the next activation. If a device is lost or broken, enter your code at soiras.com/en/devices/ — we will send a link to the email linked to the code (the purchase email or, for a gift, the recipient's email) that frees up all devices. You can do this once every 30 days; if you need it more often, write to info@soiras.com.

7.3. Access to the decks you have bought has no time limit for as long as the app is running. If we decide to close the app, we will give at least 3 months' notice — in the app, on soiras.com, by email to buyers and in our newsletter (you can sign up for news on the website). Anyone who requests it by the closing date, quoting their access codes, will receive the decks they bought free of charge as a PDF for personal use.

7.4. Keep your code safe. If you lose it, write to info@soiras.com from the email address you used to buy — we will send it again. If the code has fallen into someone else's hands, we can replace it with a new one.

7.5. The app has no user accounts. The app does not see, store or send anywhere your answers, choices or conversations (see the Privacy Policy).

8. Terms of use (licence)

8.1. When you buy, you receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the decks you have bought for yourself and your partner (for professionals — see 8.4). The cards, texts, system, artwork and brand belong to their authors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.

8.2. Without our written permission, you may not:

  • pass on, sell or publish the access code (except as a gift under section 9);
  • copy, publish, distribute or translate the card texts or artwork, for example on social media, in training materials or in other games;
  • use the cards at paid events or sell their content (except as permitted in 8.4);
  • attempt to bypass the protection of the code or the app.

8.3. If an access code is used in breach of these terms (for example, published online or used by several professionals), we may block it after prior warning, unless the breach is serious. We may also block a code if the payment is reversed or turns out to be fraudulent. A blocked or cancelled code (see also 4.4 and 12.3) no longer opens decks on any device — the app stays on the device, but the decks close at the next online check (3.3).

8.4. Professionals. Psychologists, psychotherapists, psychotherapy specialists, counsellors and group facilitators may use the decks they have bought in their work with clients (in individual, couples and group sessions led by the buyer). One access code is intended for one professional — if several specialists use the cards in their work (for example, colleagues in the same practice), each needs their own purchase. If you would like several licences or a partnership, write to info@soiras.com.

9. Gift purchases

9.1. You can buy any digital pack as a gift at the regular price. Enter the recipient's name and email, your name, a message and — if you wish — a delivery date and time. You can also choose "I'll give it in person": then you will receive the gift card (PDF) and the link yourself.

9.2. The recipient receives a discreet email with a link to the gift (with no mention of adults-only decks) and a free gift card (PDF).

9.3. When the recipient opens the gift, we send you a notification that the gift has been opened. We do not know or monitor how the cards are used.

9.4. A gift code must be activated within 12 months of the date of purchase; after activation, the same terms apply as in section 7.

9.5. The right of withdrawal (11) and complaints (12) for a gift purchase are exercised by the buyer.

9.6. The buyer is responsible for making sure that the recipient's email address is correct, that the recipient is an adult and that the recipient wishes to receive the gift (see the Privacy Policy).

10. Box — pre-order and delivery

10.1. The box is a pre-order: the cards are printed after the ordering period closes. Payment is made when you order.

10.2. We will announce the ordering period and the planned dispatch date in our newsletter and by email to everyone who has signed up for news; they will also be shown on the order page before payment.

10.3. You put the box together yourself: the Base (the box, the Ariadne and Hestia Decks, a short guide) is always included, and you add the decks of your choice. The price depends on your selection and is shown immediately. Each deck in the box is in its own protective wrapping (shrink-wrap). The box is one set — a single item with one total price.

10.4. The box — printed format only: no digital version comes with the box — neither free of charge nor for an extra payment. If you would like to play in the app, you can buy digital packs separately (see 7); that is a different purchase and a different contract, to which 11.2 applies, and cancelling the box order or withdrawing from the box does not affect it.

10.5. Delivery: Omniva parcel lockers in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The delivery fee is shown before payment. When we dispatch the box, we send you an email with the tracking number. The box must be collected from the parcel locker within the time set by Omniva.

10.6. If the box does not arrive on time: if dispatch is delayed, we will let you know as soon as we find out. If the box has not arrived at your chosen parcel locker by the delivery date stated in the order, you can cancel the box order and receive a full refund for the box, including the delivery fee. If the box arrives after cancellation, you can leave it uncollected or send it back at our expense. This does not limit your statutory rights.

10.7. You can cancel the box order at any time before dispatch (using the withdrawal button or by email — see 11.5); we refund the full amount for the box within 14 days. This does not affect digital packs bought separately (10.4).

10.8. When you receive the box, check it. If it has been damaged in transit, take a photo and write to us within 14 days — we will replace or refund the damaged item.

11. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

11.1. As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase of a box within 14 days without giving any reason. There is no right of withdrawal for digital packs (11.2).

11.2. Digital packs. Digital content is not supplied on a tangible medium. We supply it at the moment the payment is confirmed, so before payment you must tick:

☐ I agree that the access code will be supplied immediately after payment, and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days.

A digital pack cannot be bought without ticking this box. We confirm your consent in the purchase email. This does not limit your rights if the content does not conform to the contract (12).

11.3. Box. You can withdraw from the box within 14 days of the day on which you (or a person you have named, other than the carrier) received the box. You can only withdraw from the box as a whole, as one set — you cannot withdraw from individual decks in the box. Before dispatch — see 10.7.

11.4. Withdrawing from the box does not affect digital packs bought separately (10.4).

11.5. How to withdraw: use the "Withdraw from contract" button at the bottom of the website (enter your full name, order number and email, then press "Confirm withdrawal"), or send a clear statement to info@soiras.com, or by post to the address in 1.1 — before the deadline. You may also use the model withdrawal form (soiras.com/en/withdrawal/), but this is not obligatory. We will confirm receipt by email straight away, stating the content of your withdrawal and the date and time.

11.6. Returning the box: send the box back with all its contents to the address in 1.1 or another address that we give in the withdrawal confirmation, no later than 14 days after your withdrawal notice. The cost of returning the box is borne by the buyer (except in the cases in 10.6 and 10.8).

11.7. Refund: we refund the amount paid for the box, including the original standard delivery fee, within 14 days of the day we received your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used (unless we agree otherwise). We may withhold the refund until we have received the box back or you have provided proof that you have sent it, whichever is earlier.

11.8. Opened box and unwrapped decks: you may open and inspect the box — we deduct nothing for this. Decks returned unwrapped (still in shrink-wrap) are refunded at the full price. If a deck has been unwrapped, we can no longer sell it as new, so we deduct its diminished value from its price — usually 30%. If the cards are damaged, written on or missing, the deduction reflects the actual loss of value and may be higher. We record the condition of returned items in photographs and, if we make a deduction, we explain the reason.

12. Conformity with the contract and complaints

12.1. We are responsible for the box and the digital content conforming to the contract and the description. For the box — you can make a complaint within 2 years of receipt. For digital packs — at any time while we provide access.

12.2. If something does not conform (for example, the code does not work, a deck does not open, cards are damaged or missing), write to info@soiras.com, describing the problem and including the order number and, if possible, a photo. We recommend doing this within 2 months of discovering the problem.

12.3. We reply to complaints within 15 days. Depending on the situation, we will fix the fault, replace the item or code, reduce the price or refund the money free of charge — as the law provides. If we refund digital content, access to the decks we have refunded is cancelled at the moment we make the refund.

13. Safety and the nature of the conversations

13.1. SOIRAS are conversation cards, not therapy, and they do not replace professional help. Everyone chooses what to answer — any card can be set aside, and the conversation can stop at any moment. If a conversation brings up difficulties in your relationship, or a question has left you with unpleasant or heavy feelings, we recommend contacting a couples or intimate partner therapist. If you feel unsafe or are in crisis, call 112 immediately.

13.2. The cards are intended for conversations between adults who freely wish to have them. Please respect the other person's boundaries.

14. Liability

14.1. We are liable for our obligations in accordance with Latvian law. These terms do not limit your rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

14.2. We are not liable for:

  • temporary disruptions to the app due to technical work, the internet or other reasons beyond our control (we fix disruptions as quickly as possible);
  • consequences arising if the access code is passed on to others or used in breach of these terms;
  • consequences arising if adults-only decks reach minors after purchase (see 4.3);
  • how conversations with the cards affect relationships — the cards prompt conversation, but what to say and how to act is everyone's own decision (see 13);
  • the work of professionals with their clients — each professional is responsible for that themselves.

14.3. If obligations cannot be fulfilled due to force majeure (for example, a natural disaster, war or widespread service outages), we will inform you, and deadlines will be extended accordingly. If the box cannot be delivered for this reason, you will receive a full refund.

15. Personal data

We process the data needed for a purchase (email; for a box — name, phone number, parcel locker; for a gift — the recipient's name and email) in accordance with the Privacy Policy (soiras.com/en/privacy/).

16. Resolving disputes

16.1. If you are not satisfied, please write to info@soiras.com first — we will reply within 15 days and try to find a solution.

16.2. If we cannot reach an agreement, you can contact:

  • the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia (PTAC), Brīvības iela 55, Riga, LV-1010, www.ptac.gov.lv, including its Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee;
  • if you live in another EU country — the European Consumer Centre Latvia (www.ecc.lv) or the European Consumer Centre in your own country;
  • a court in accordance with the law.

17. Governing law and changes

17.1. These terms and contracts are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. If you live in another EU country, you keep the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country.

17.2. We may change these terms (for example, because of new products or changes in the law). The new version applies from the moment it is published on the website and covers future purchases. Contracts already concluded are governed by the version in force at the time of purchase, unless the changes are more favourable to you.

17.3. If any provision of these terms proves to be invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
